Vedant is one of the prodigious exceptional talents I have encountered in my academic and professional career. Vedant has been working with me as an intern for the last three years, assisting me in my book writing and machine learning research. His immense contribution has been acknowledged and mentioned as a contributor in both of my forthcoming AI books - Explainable AI (Springer Oct 2021) and Transformers for State of the Art AI (CRC Press, Jan 2022). His contributions for both books have been to work on the real-world case studies for practicality and involving reading the latest research papers, collaborating with authors in meaningful real-life applications, and coding with state-of-the-art deep learning techniques. His tenacity, high intellectual, and collaborative skills are a rare combination for sixteen years old.

I had the pleasure of working with Vedant on a research project this summer. I have worked with many high-school students over more than ten years and occasionally published with them. I would place Vedant in the top 1% of these students. His intellectual creativity, persistence, and self-determination are nothing short of inspiring. He led all aspects of the study, from ideation, to implementation, evaluation, preparation of results, and their compilation in a manuscript that was submitted to a Tier 1 conference at the intersection of machine learning and bioinformatics. The product of his hard work is a state of the art deep neural network model that addresses the increasingly challenging problem of diagnosing mental health. It has been a privilege to work with him on a consequential problem and conduct cutting-edge deep learning research.

I had the pleasure of working with Vedant on a paper submission in the Summer of 2021.
